Appointments
The practice operates across three separate sites and it is a condition of joining the practice that you are willing to attend the different Surgeries. If it is not possible to comply with this, we would respectfully ask patients to register with another practice in the local area.
For your convenience we offer both telephone and face to face appointments. If you have a minor query that could be dealt with over the phone and will not require the doctor to see you, then book a telephone appointment.
If we cannot provide you with an appointment time to suit you or with a doctor of your choice, we ask you to be understanding and not to make unreasonable demands on the reception staff.
The practice operates a fully computerised appointment system. You can make an appointment by either calling at or telephoning any of the surgeries during working hours. Please note that all telephone calls are recorded for training and security purposes.
Appointments are made at given intervals and we endeavour to keep to the appointed times. However, you will appreciate that sometimes the doctor is called to an emergency or needs to spend more than the allocated time with one particular patient.
Open Access Surgery
In addition to booked appointments, we offer a daily Open Access Surgery. This is held at Windsor House between 14:00 – 17:00.
If you have an urgent problem and feel that you NEED to be seen the same day please call during the morning. If there are no booked appointments available you will be offered a slot at the Open Access Surgery.
Please turn up at your allotted time and not before – there will be a short wait.
Cancellations
If for any reason you are unable to keep your appointment we would ask that you inform the surgery as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient. A record is kept of all failed attendances and appropriate action taken to allow us to deliver a service within our resources.
